passenger flights

One of the statutary objectives of any club federated to the National AeroClub of Italy is the diffusion of aeronautical culture and spirit among the public. We therefore offer passenger glider flights to interested persons who visit our airfield.

You will be comfortably seated in the back of one of our two-seaters, with an experienced pilot or an instructor (many of them speak English and/or other languages) taking you to the air for about 30 minutes of sheer pleasure and excitement.

After a short airplane tow, the pilot will release the cable and the flight will continue in the silence, with only the airflow noise over the slender wings to be heard. If the conditions allow, you will experience the lifting force of air upcurrents, which your pilot will exploit to gain height and lenghten the flight, possibly offering a sightseeing tour of the beautiful surrounding countryside. You will even be handed over the controls to try for yourself, if you so wish.

The only limiting condition is a minimum age of 12. It is advisable to call the airfield in the morning to confirm that the weather is suitable for flying, no reservation is necessary. If you wish a quiet, relaxed flight, the morning and evening hours (when you might have a glorious view of the sunset from the sky!) are advisable, otherwise to experience a true soaring flight it’s probably worth waiting the middle of the day. In any case, we’ll try to fulfil your expectations at our best.
