How to find us by road
Our airfield is called “Aviosuperficie La Collina”, and is located about 2km east of the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello racecourse, on the road connecting Borgo San Lorenzo to Luco di Mugello. From the A1 motorway (Milano – Roma) exit at Barberino, then proceed on the main road to Borgo San Lorenzo. Entering Borgo San Lorenzo village turn left at the first roundabout, then keep on the main road until the first traffic light, where you should turn left following signs to “Luco”, or “Aviosuperficie”. After about 3 kilometers, the entrance to the airfield, a dirt road to the left, is well indicated by signs.
How to find us by air
Airfield coordinates are N 43°59'19" E 11°23'23", elevation 290m. amsl. The single grass runway is oriented 04-22, 800 m long and about 50 m wide. The field naturally slopes upwards on the 04, therefore this is the main landing direction unless a northerly wind above 8-10 kts. is blowing. “Borgo Radio” listens on the 130.00 MHz frequency whenever there is gliding activity on the airfield, normally on weekends. Beware of microlight traffic on the field also on weekdays. A conspicuous landmark reference to find the field from the air is the Mugello racecourse: our runway lies about 2km east of it, and can be identified by a rather long green-roofed hangar.
